Advent Calendar

My CTMH Advent Calendar

I saw a calendar like this in the Idea Book last year, and have always wanted to make one.  So this year, I did!  I had so much fun with it, and can't wait until December to put it out and hide some goodies inside the boxes!

Finished Project!

I stamped all the numbers in black ink

The Irresistibles frames allow you to color them and have a ink resistant pattern on them!

I added sparkles on certain numbers where I thought it looked good.

Here are the supplies I used to create this (All supplies are CTMH):

Cardstock - I used 3 sheets of each of the following colors:

New England Ivy

2013 Fall/ Winter Idea Book

Ok,  so I am a little behind in posting, it has been quite the year.  However I wanted to post about the new idea book..  It is awesome!  So ordinarily I would posts several posts with the following info;  but since i am so behind, I will combine it all into one post.


My favorite things about the new Idea Book:

So the past couple of years I have been LOVING Smash Books.  They are so fun to do as an everyday journal/scrapbook, and a great place to keep small memorabilia like ticket stubs from fun things you do.  So when CTMH launched their My Crush books in this catalog, I was so excited!!  Finally a "smash book" from my favorite company!!!

So far there are two, both are super cute, and the accessory packs available for each are awesome!  Here is Bluebird:

Next, I love fall, so I love the Huntington line.  The papers are so beautiful, plus the little button embellishments are wood!   They are so cute!  So here are some photos of some artwork with this line, and also the Workshop On the Go.

The Ranch

I am very blessed.  I am adopted and because of God I am blessed to have my biological family in my life.  We have a tremendous amount of fun together!  Drew, Kelsey, Aurora, Addy and Iyden all live in Alaska, so it was a rare treat for us to all be able to spend New Years together at the ranch that Anna and Sean manage.


It was so incredibly cold let me just say.  The lows got below zero and the highs were like 18.  So we did lots of sledding, bonfire's, played games, and laughed.  We were all sick, but you would never know it looking at the photos, it didn't slow us down!  It was great.  It may be a little while before I can scrapbook this because I am working on another project right now, so I thought I would post a few pictures.

The Busy Side of Life

All the Happenings in my Life...

My intentions when I started this blog were to share what is going on in my life, share my photos and also share some of my projects and layouts.

Of course I started right before my life got crazy busy, so I have not been able to do a lot of that yet.  So I will share now.

In August my Grandma Pat died.  It was a hard time, but I am so blessed to have the friends and family that I do, it was nice to spend time with loved ones I don't see very often.

 

A few days after the funeral we left for Maui for a two week vacation.  That was really fun, I especially loved the two week part!  We did a lot of hanging out on the beach, we met Mick Fleetwood, and went fishing on the Maui Jim boat and caught some Mahi Mahi.  It was a lot of fun.

 

 

The night we returned home from Maui our oldest cat was having a lot of difficulty breathing.  I started making calls trying to figure out where I could take her after hours, the nearest 24 hour facility is 25 minutes away and I didn't think she would make it that far.  I found an amazing vet here in town that rushed down to open his office at 10:30 on a Saturday night to treat her.  She was in a full blown asthma attack and very dehydrated.  He gave her oxygen, fluids, bronchiodialators, steroids and antibiotics.  He and his office called to check on her afterwards every day for the next five days.  He went above and beyond, and saved Inca's life.

That next weekend my brother got married!  I love Kristen and I am so glad that she is my sister in law!  The wedding was beautiful, and it was a lot of fun.  I cannot wait to scrapbook my photos, because they will go perfect with the Dakota CTMH paper!  I will be posting pictures of my layouts in the coming weeks.

 

Now time to go enjoy some of this beautiful fall weather!

The holidays are coming!!!

I am finally enjoying some nice fall weather, although we are supposed to get hot again.  I am thinking about pumpkins and trick or treaters.  But as I am enjoying this time of year, my thoughts are also starting to drift to Christmas.  It will be here before we know it!  Next month I will be making my Christmas cards, I have already started on gifts!
